RISING DEAD - SKIRMISH/RPG
Rising Dead is a new rule system to allow you to play a skirmish/RPG Zombie game on any size wargames table. The game will hopefully be fast paced........well as fast paced as a zombie game can be, and will not rely on having book upon book to play. The game will be using a card and token based system that will allow you to play a standalone game or create a campaign mode.
Where am I.........At the moment, I am still creating some ALPHA rule to be play tested, me and a few others have sat down and gone through what we would like in a skirmish game that involved RPG elements, but not to the extent were the game stops to continuoulsy look through books.
Below are some images of some of the new card designs.

Play Test 1:
We played our first game on an 8' by 5' board these are some of the things that we picked up.
General:
Attack:
Overall:
Overall the game played really well and was a lot of fun.......the randomness of the Zombies walking often meant that survivors would head in one direction just to turn around and run back where they came. As said noise was very effective, survivors only used ranged weapons as last resort.

General:
- You need a lot of scenery and Zombies if playing on an area this big. It was too easy for the survivors to avoid the Zombies, and there wasn't enough bottle neck sections.
- Zombies still heading towards survivors after leaving LOS - Will need to look at preventing this, maybe if unseen for 2 or 3 turns, Zombies start wandering again.
Attack:
- Zombies seemed to weak in standard hand to hand - increased them to have D6+1 to give them an advantage
- To easy for weapons to be similar - given some weapons a "Break On" rule
- Survivors were standing behind fences and just stabbing Zombies - Need to add a rule for zombies to spread around objects or have shear weight of zombies break the object e.g. fences, doors, etc.
- Noise was very effective survivors were reluctant to use guns as they attracted more Zombies.
- Zombies coming from miles away - Changed the rule so nearest herd comes towards sound instead of all on the board.
